At Restlos, a company that specialises in asset and property valuation, managing spend posed a challenge.

A smooth and speedy onboarding experience right from the start

For many companies, onboarding can be a time-consuming and stressful process. But this was the opposite for Restlos. Their experience was faster than expected, and the communication was top-notch, this is according to Lisa Caldonazzo, Assistant to the CEO. 

“The communication with our Customer Success Manager was very active. Our expectations were definitely exceeded,” said one team member. 

This proactive and clear communication set the tone from day one, making the team feel well-supported.

“What really stood out was that our Customer Success Manager showed enthusiasm for the company and the product and was genuinely convinced by it,” said Lisa. This confidence in the product reinforced their trust in Pleo and strengthened their commitment from the beginning.

Tailored support and a personalised approach

Onboarding is always smoother when the support is tailored to a business’s specific needs, and Restlos found that Pleo did just that. “Our Onboarding Manager supported us as best as possible, really going very individually into what our company needed,” Lisa shared.

Restlos doesn’t handle preliminary bookkeeping themselves, so having a personal onboarding experience that addressed their particular concerns was a huge advantage. They also appreciated the thorough technical integration with DATEV, which simplified the process significantly.

“The tax office didn’t have many questions at the end and could immediately start working,” said Lisa. This smooth integration made the onboarding process even easier for everyone involved.

Getting the whole team on board with Pleo

One of the key success factors for Restlos was the buy-in they received from their team during the onboarding process. Their trial group became instant fans of Pleo, and this enthusiasm quickly spread across the company.

“The staff included in the trial group were totally thrilled and quickly spread this enthusiasm to everyone in the company,” said Lisa.

The results: smooth launch and increased efficiency

The efficiency was felt right away. Initially, the team at Restlos had planned to fully roll out Pleo in mid-April.

"I feel like we’re already at a high-level point where we’re saying: We need to roll out the product to everyone now. We intended to fully launch in mid-April, but due to the seamless onboarding process, we moved the launch date to the end of March. [Our team] is super excited and really motivated."

Would Restlos recommend Pleo’s onboarding process to other companies?

In short, absolutely.

“I would recommend it to any company, but especially to companies that don’t have such structured processes or dedicated positions. They would benefit even more,” Lisa said.

“The time savings from using the product were truly impressive.In the past, the process required several employees to spend time checking numerous small details. Now everything is automated and straightforward.”

For Restlos, Pleo’s onboarding process was more than just a smooth start, it marked a turning point that helped the company transition to smarter, more efficient spend management.
